Refugee & asylum seeking families
The Cultural competence resource is useful for supporting refugee young carers and their families is a practical toolkit for all practitioners.
Developed by The Children’s Society Family Health Inclusion Project and funded by the Department of Health, this is a tool for all adult and children’s services practitioners, education, health and other agencies in contact with refugee and asylum seeking families. It is of particular use to those working with families affected by ill-health and disability and where there are young carers.
Using this resource, which is part of the Refugee Toolkit, will help ensure asylum seeking and refugee families have better access to appropriate health and social care.
